What Is an Intensive Outpatient Program?
The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper supports clients as they transition from living at the facility to living on their own in the community. In an IOP, clients receive several hours of addiction rehab therapies each week to address the emotional and mental effects of addiction and co-occurring disorders.

How long is intensive outpatient rehab?
The time it takes to complete rehab differs from person to person. However, most patients can complete intensive outpatient rehab in 1–3 months.
Is drug or alcohol detox included?
Medical detox is not provided as part of an IOP. Individuals needing medical detox must complete that program separately before reaching lower levels of care like IOP.
Do intensive outpatient rehab programs work?

It ensures clients have access to all the therapy, medical care and support they need to prepare for life in recovery. Without this pivotal step, many patients have an increased risk of relapse, overdose and other challenging outcomes.
Is transportation provided for IOP rehab?
Transportation is not provided. Finding transportation to get to and from your IOP rehab appointments is your responsibility.
How can I pay for intensive outpatient rehab?
Insurance may cover some or all intensive outpatient rehab costs. Copays and meeting deductibles may still be involved. Without insurance, The Recovery Village Cherry Hill at Cooper can discuss a private payment plan with you.
Will I lose my job if I go to rehab?
Several laws are in place to protect employees when they attend rehab. Intensive outpatient rehab appointments can also be scheduled around work hours.
